I think "it's fun" depends in large part on how one plays the game. Those who prefer fictional leagues may be more satisfied than those who prefer historical leagues. Likewise, those who prefer simming through a century of baseball may enjoy the game more than those who prefer playing through one season a game at a time. OOTP2006 tries to appeal to gamers of every stripe, but IMO - in its present state - it meets the needs of some gamers far better than others.
