After a 4 round decision loss to a Lew Moses in Sept 1960, Davis doesn't show another fight until May 1963 when he's knocked out in 2 by Leotis Martin who is 6-0 early in his career. In November of that year, Davis then is knocked out in the 2nd round again by James J. Beattie who is 5-1-1 at the time. No fight for Davis again till June 1964 when he looses by 4th round TKO to Don (Toro) Smith. One fight in December 1966, a 4th round TKO loss to Bert Leroy Birmingham. Then in 1967 he fights seven times, loosing fights to Ray White, twice to Harold Dutra who would later fight Ken Norton. His 3 wins during this year were against no one of note. Then in May 1968 he's disqualified in the 5th round in a fight in Las vegas against Gary Bates. Boxrec indicates that Davis was suspended indefinitely, pay withheld and hear ordered. No other note of why the suspension and no other fights on record for Davis.
