ATH Seeking Active G.M.s.

ATH was started with the Total Minors roster set back when OOTP 5 was first released. We've evolved from an OOTP 5, to a OOTP 6 league, and finally into a OOTP 6.5 league. We have just started our 14th season of Major League action. There are still a good number of the familar names that most will recognize but they are now in the grizzled vet stage of their career. We've been in operation for more than 3 real-time years.

We're looking for GM's who want to be active and put their mark on their team, and thus the league. How much you want to participate is up to you and your schedule. If you like to write...we have Coranto setup for are GMs to use and post their articles directly to the front page. If you don't want to write...you don't have to. We will try and keep providing new and fresh content for the front page on a sim-to-sim basis. What is required is that you want your team, you answer your email or PM's in when another GM has inquired about a transaction, you try to make your team as good as you are capable of. If you can do those three things then we want you. If you want to do more...that even better but isn't a requirement. This is supposed to be a fun but serious hobby and that is how I treat it. * OOTP 6 or 6.5 is required.

Since the release of OOTP 2006 we've had quite a few GMs leave and I'm here to hopefully fill those empty teams.

The list is:

Pittsburgh Pirates: The Pirates of the ATH have gone 961-1144 for a .457 winning % all-time. They've had 3 winning seasons over the the first 13 seasons. The Pirates franchise has been neither a great team or a really poor team. They tend to hang around the .500 mark with a 5 seasons of 80 wins with, topping out at 87 wins. Their one 100 loss season came six seasons ago and since then they have not losst more than 83 losses. Last season they were 79-83 and in 3rd place, 25 games behind Chicago. They have finished in 3rd place 4-straight seasons. Truly a mediocre franchise. You got what it takes to turn this middle-of-the-road organization into a contender?

Chiacgo White Sox: The White Sox have flirted with being a contender on a few occasions but have done no better than 3 2nd place finishes in the AL Central. Their best season was in 2009 (we're in 2016) when they finished 93-69 5 games back. They're coming off one of their worse seasons in 2015 where they went 67-95 and finished 34 games behind the surprising division winner Kansas City Royals. They have just the 20th ranked farm system so an incoming GM is going to have their work cut out for them. On a positive note their payroll is only 47.3 million, half of that is going for staff ace Jake Peavy (22.0 mil) whose contract expires at the end of next (2017) season. All-Time the White Sox are 968-1137 (.460) and have 0 division titles. This division has been known for franchises turning it around as Detroit and Kansas City have both proven.

If you are looking for a new league and are interested in one of these teams please let me know at holycow_98@hotmail.com or catch me on AIM at holycow98ootp. I'm an original and current owner of the Braves and have co-commished this league for 13 of its 14 seasons. My goal is to keep the league going for as long as possible and to make it as fun as I can.

Thanks
Brian C
