OK folks, version 1.0.1.1 is ready to try out.
Here are the steps in using the program. I have not put any error trapping in yet, so if it errors, let me know.
First enter the OOTP game and load your league. Enter the DATABASE and do a CSV dump. THIS IS REQUIRED!
OK, first go to
http://www.sim2005.com/AULogo/publish.htm and click on install.
It will add the program to your start menu and when the program is launched in the future, it will check automatically for new updates to it.
It will first create a folder called C:\AU2006, if it does not already exist. Then it will create a folder called LOGOS inside it.
This folder will be empty. At this point, you can dump in your entire collection of logos into this folder. Or, you can download the collection supplied by cephasjames (Thank you!).
To download the default logo set, click on FILE - DOWNLOAD LOGOS. This may take a few minutes, as it has to download around 2500 logos. In the future, you can always click this and it will very fast, download any NEW logos.
NOTE: The logos should be in PNG format and should be 150x150. My program assumes they are the correct size. (I could add a check though)
The logos can have any kind of name. Dragons.png, The losers.png, etc.
Now, click on LEAGUE - LOAD LEAGUE and select the league you would like to use. It should not display the league location in the window at the top.
The pull down menu should now also be populated with your sub-leagues. Pull it down and select a league and you should now see a list of all the teams in that sub-league. They are not sorted, they are in the way that they are numbered in your league.
Now click on any of the teams and you should see the logo displayed on the right. Below it is a button that says NEW LOGO. Click on it and a typical file open dialog box will open. You can change the details to THUMBNAILS or whatever view you want. This is a normal windows diaglog box, so it will function just like any other. You could also browse to another location. By default, it will open up the LOGO folder. When you find the logo you want, click and select open or double click it.
The logo will now be displayed where the logo was before. Click ACCEPT LOGO and it will copy it over to the correct folder. The team name will be removed from the team list on the left.
Click on another team, pick a logo, repeat until all teams are gone from the list.
Ta da. Done. Open the OOTP game and each team should have the new logo in place.
