What am I doing wrong?
I want to create a fantasy league with actual/real players. I created a 12 team league, set it up with historical and current ballparks, created managers, coaches, etc. and imported the players from historical database, one by one as I wanted. This was a pretty tedious task, but I have no interest in playing with made up players. I set up pitching rotations, line ups, etc.
However, when I try to play, I get a message "Inaugural Draft is not finished." When I try to finish the inaugural draft, the game locks up and crashes. I then imported a bunch of free agents so there would be players to draft. The game still locks up and crashes. I reloaded the game and exported the rosters. I created a new game and tried to import the roster. The game crashes.
I am playing with the Mac version of the game. I am very reluctant to buy this game if it cannot do what I want. What am I doing wrong?
I wanted to recreate a fantasy league I used to play in APBA with real players. I thought OOTP would be a step up because it can carry records across multiple seasons and the level of detail in the stats is outstanding. However, am I wrong to think this game is full of bugs and crash prone? The interface is pretty clunky and not particularly intuitive, but I figured it's a complex game.
I am running out of patience. I have entered 300 players individually three times now and each time the result is a crash and no playable game. I want to create a 12 team league with two divisions and draft real players of the past and present. I understand that I must place each player individually on the team rosters... one at a time. Can anyone help me with this or is OOTP not capable of playing this type of league?
