FWIW, none of that applies to the schedule file I was using. The allstar_game_day is set up correctly, and the schedule comes with the necessary three-day break. The problem is that the season schedule respects the start_day_of_week parameter (making the Opening Day date move around in a seven-day window from year to year), but the All-Star Game does not follow along.
