I've run the
United States Baseball Association since 2002. In that time, our little fictional league has run through 17 seasons, moving through versions OOTP 3, 4, 5, and now 6.5. It has been a fun ride but now with the uncertainty over moving to OOTP2006 or staying status quo, I have a couple openings to fill.
I have never recruited from the OOTP boards so this is the first time I have ever put out an open invitation. When we had a rare team opening I usually had someone already lined up. However, with so few openings in the past couple years, I haven't really kept a formal waiting list. The downside of that is now with a couple of openings, I don't have anyone in mind.
A few of the basics:
- We run three sims per week with each sim consisting of 7 game days.
- We have a full cato history:

- We have a full All-Star game history, probably the only one of its kind:

- Most of our owners are mature adults, many of which have been with their team since inception. They are easy going and reliable.
- The USBA has always used fictional players and always will.
- We have plenty of other extras including player photos, sortable team stats, a league message board with the entire history indexed, and several league writers who pop in from time to time with insightful articles and reports.
- The Commissioner does have a team and after a decade of "commitment to excrement", it is finally a good one!
If you think you might be a great fit for the USBA, please drop me a line. I'll be happy to give you any information needed about the league and teams open. Relocation is doable within reason, but logos and team nicknames are changeable, as long as they stay within the flavor of the league.
Thanks for reading!
