Actually, this doesn't work either. Tried it with a new install as well.
When I click on the OOTP2006 icon, I get the software delivery wizard with the options to "start" or "cancel". Cancel just exits the program, start launches the purchase program. Opting for "cancel" at anypoint just quits the wizard.
I'll try updating to 10.4.7
