The Toledo Storm (ECHL hockey) lost their starting goalie in the middle of the playoffs this past season just so he could sit the bench in the AHL. Not the entire team but the starting goalie is a HUGE loss. The kid was at an AHL game that went into double overtime and then drove from Toronto, ON to Wheeling, WV so he could bail Toledo out of a jam in game 4 of a best of 5.

Sorry that went OT but it's such a great story.

Yes please tweek the AI to show some mercy to minor league teams in the playoff hunt. Or at the very least call up the highest quality lower level minor leaguers to help out.
