Frank Heitman
26 years old
.287/.346/.421
He's the oldest guy in the infield at 26, so he's about ready to start collecting social security. I know I said Alona was my best defender inside of the diamond, but I lied, it's Heitman hands down. He's a tremendous Shorstop, and would be an even better 3rd baseman if it wasn't for Alona, in fact he's made only 4 errors in 255 (hope it doesn't roll over!) chances, for a .984 %, and a RF of 4.79.
He struggles against left handed pitchers, which is why I have the powerful Applegate platooning with him.
Down on the farm:
My shortstop futures, aint's exactly looking especially bright, right now the tops being single A Stockton shortstop, 25 year old Miguel Alaverz, who's at .336/.411/.467, which is real nice, but the guy is 25, he should be doing that stuff.
In the funny name category, I do have South African Yalew Mkufunzi playing short in Rookie ball, but he's hitting .167.
