McAuliffe defends title
December 7, 1910
Jack McAuliffe (CH) (36-6-2) took control in the middle rounds and cruised to a UD15 over George Lavigne (4/6) (29-14-1) to defend the WBC Lightweight title.
McAuliffe and Lavigne fought even through 9 rounds with the champ having a slight edge. McAuliffe then sealed the fight with knockdowns in both the 10th and the 11th rounds. Lavigne couldn't do anything more than split the final 4 rounds and McAuliffe won going away.
Lavigne drops to 2-7 in title fights.
I had it 144-139. Scott Lang, ringside expert, had it 145-138. The official judges had it 144-139/146-137/144-139.
