So you can understand why the States are ranked so high when there beating mighty teams like Panama 6-0 and 3-0, plus they only count 7 games per year so all you have to do is count your biggest wins no matter who you played and then maybe add a game were you played a top team in a friendly or if they had qualified and fielded a weakened team to boost your ratings.

It's simpler than that. All rankings system, in any sport, are biased in one way or the other, so all of them can be taken with a pinch of salt.
I mean although the USA are ranked five, are the Czechs really only second at any given tournament to Brazil? They've only reached one major final.
