I've had the same problem with selected fields: Manager name (at start of game); League name (also at start); and salary negotiation (contract extension).

THis occurs no matter what the year, or time of year, no matter how long the game has been running at that point. It is the same on fresh boots of the computer, or after hours of use.

And it was a pre-patch problem as well.
