I downloaded the patch and installed it (this was the first day the patch was released). On the OOTP Main Screen the bottom left hand quarter reads;
1.0.0.12231

I even used the "check for updates" option and it says that I am updated but here is my problem(s).

I am still seeing things in the game that were supposed to be fixed with the patch. AND I am NOT seeing features/options that were added by the patch such as "option to close news ticker in game preferences".
It appears that the patch was not installed or not installed correctly. After I noticed this I uninstalled and then reinstalled the patch twice but I still get the same issues. The only thing that works differently is that the pearl skin is fast.
