This is what happens when you have Old School people write PbP. They have voices in their heads of game calls that long ago faded into the mystic chords of memory.

Future PbP writers ought to realize that they are standing on the shoulders of giants and realize that there is a vast amount of baseball history to draw upon. Sometimes what is in the game sounds a bit odd to the modern ear. If my grandfather read that PbP, he would have a hoot.

Chuck Thompson is one of the guys that inspires the text team. As he is in Cooperstown, he's probably a good role model.
