Free Agent Questions
I have just started my first season with a solo, fictional, ML universe.
During January as I am scouting my players, checking the wavier wire and proposing trades with other teams....I came across the FA pool.
Boy...are there some real studs available! I negotiated some real good deals to strengthen my roster.
In February I noticed I was the only team hitting the FA pool. No AI activity.
I decided to check out the expanded game manual.
On page 334...line 4..."CONSIDER" free agent acquisitions...JAN 2-MAR 1
line 9 reads...As needed, make waiver claims, trades, or make transactions( I assume this means adjusting 25/40 man rosters,etc.)...APR 1-MAY 15... Nothing is mentioned about acquiring FA's...
line 27 reads...FREE AGENCY BEGINS; DON'T MISS OUT...EARLY NOV.
After reading the yearly schedule events for a fictional league...I should assume the FA pool is off limits until Nov?? Is this a "bug" or "cheat"?
If the FA pool is off limits, where do I find replacements for players who go down with long term/career ending injuries?
