I worked on an international league for several days. It could work, but at this juncture I say it's not worth the trouble. Here is what I tried:

A major level league that played in the winter in florida. 40 countries had a team represented. Each country's players were fed by a minor league that played in the summer back in their home country.

So, say you have a team in England waiting for International play to begin while the summer league has a season. At the end of that season, call up the 25 best players. I recommend setting the affiliates to NONE (or maybe just 1 team) in your minor leagues until you are ready to play. If you have 8 teams in one minor league all feeding into your one club, that organization will ping pong players all over that minor league, causing players to play on four or five teams at the same AAA level for no reason.
