Does anyone know if not having a complete coaching staff will crash the game?

I have been looking and I can't find a button that allows the computer to hire all of the staff.

I have spent days setting up this league and all its affiliates. However, the game will not progress past January 2nd. Any ideas as to how I might try to remedy this?
