Charlie Hough,
I don't think anyone expects a disappointed customer to be "won over" by being told that their favorite feature didn't make it into the game, for whatever reason. But it seems that Steve's post was a very straightforward explanation of the business process leading up to the launch. He's not in a position to promise that X will get added tomorrow, but:
-Marc and everyone have been tremendously responsive, IMHO, and have committed to a patch release after the first week
-There's hundreds of threads here with personal and positive responses from members of the development team and people like me with "vested" interests.
-There's a list (here:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=120897) of bugs that have already been fixed and are being prepared for a patch - three days after release.
-There are many other tech support or feature requests that have received personal responses.
-There are cases where Markus has added completely new features to the released product (ratings on the transaction page) within the first two days of release
To say that you need "commitments to changes from the developers and a better attitude toward customer feedback," as if the community hadn't already gotten this in spades, is tremendously unfair, in my opinion.
I respect your opinion that you're unhappy with the product, and have elected not to play it, but it's unfair of you in this case to denigrate the hard work and positive attitude of this group. IMHO.
