just think how many steals boone could have if he got on base more often? sure, 25/25 is good, but it's not like boone is facing quality pitching due to the fact that most of the young pitchers out there today shouldn't be in the majors, and most pitchers are throwing past their prime.... i think you just need to look at the Royals, the Devil Rays, the Rangers and of course the Reds too are hurting with a soft pitching staff.... there are MANY more examples of weak pitching staffs out there
