Look, all kidding aside, the man had more hits then anyone who ever played the game of baseball. So he shouldn't be in as a manager. We all know that, but the voting for him as a player should not matter based on what he did as a manager. His manager career should not be a factor. People can argue this all day, and I have heard all of the arguments, but I still believe my position to be the right one.
By the same token, Barry Bonds is no. 3 all-time on home runs. I worry (and perahps I am wrong) that he won't get into the Hall because of steriod allagations, something they have never proven, and now with baseball's testing (and I am sure he has been picked "randomly" more often then other players) he has not yet been caught. But I think the press hates his guts, and I think he will have a hard time getting into the Hall. Any thoughts?
