Kahle had, quite possibly, his second best season ever. He again led the National League in batting and has firmly eastablished himself as one of the first "superstars" of baseball. However, Chicago continued to struggle this season, and it seems like right now they might not make it back up to the top of the National League before Dieter is thinking about walking away from the game.

Once again, Clive had a season that Cardinals fans and management expected him to have. He set a career mark for runs batted in, even without longtime teammate Stuart Adamson. However, it is largely believed that there is no way he will ever live up to the comotion that was caused when he first joined the team.

After the trade to New York, Adamson showed flashes of the ballplayer he may very well still become. Manager John McGraw sees Stuart as having a similar swing to Dieter Kahle, and his speed on the basepaths and skill in the field make him a true threat to become known throughout the league, especially now that he is in New York.

Ayers has certainly fit right into the Bronchos' offense this season. He finished tied for the team lead in home runs, and was second in runs batted in. This is his third World Series in four years, and he is hoping to finally make an impact after two less than impressive trips to the postseason.

What are the Senators going to do with Sandford? He pitches very well down in Class AA ball, yet it seems like he still can't pull everything together to get called up to Washington. IF he doesn't figure things out soon, the Senators may have to find a new home for their enigmatic pitcher.

Ludwig got the call up to New York in September, and although it was for him to come out of the bullpen, he did not complain. He pitched one scoreless inning, and seems to have impressed manager McGraw enough that he may finally stay up with the Giants for the start of the next season. The future is looking brighter for this young man, as he may be the key to the Giants' pitching woes.

Gray was given little time to play in St. Louis this season, and all it proved to most of the fans was that he is not ready for major league action yet. Most wise people believe that he should be playing in Class AAA or AA ball right now to hone his skills, rather than hurting his confidence by struggling on the major league level.

Speaking of players that should be down in the minor leagues, Philadelphia fans everywhere are clamoring for Fletcher to either be sent down or start getting playing time after a season that saw him rot on the bench for literally the entire season. His skills and confidence seem to have dropped because of it, and most Phillies fans see his mistreatment as another reason why the team is constantly finishing in last place.

For a rookie playing in New York, Mike Feldbush didn't play that bad, all things considered. He played solid defense, and showed good speed, a trait that he is developing by watching and working with Stuart Adamson. He took his lumps this season, but should be a rock at second base for the Giants for years to come.
