I was suprised to see subleagues in this version. I thought they would have been done away with in favour of direct interaction between entirely separate leagues. Subleagues strike me as a holdover from earlier versions of the game; I just hope that there isn't some kind of programming necessity which has kept them around.
The only place where subleagues are useful is in separating a league into conferences, like the PCL is. Other than that, separate but interacting leagues is the way to go.
