Add/Delete Same Level League Associations

What I mean by this is how the NL and AL were "associated" with each other, as in they more or less played under the same rules as each other, since the early 1900s, but the were not "one league." Until recently they were two leagues that played each other in the post season. Until they official became "Major League Baseball" they could have ended their association with each other - say if a third, very dominant league formed - and one of the leagues could have associated themselves with the new league. Then the new assocaition could have a post season championship.

Or how in AAA the IL and AA were associated and the PCL was the third wheel. But when the AA folded the IL and PCL associated themselves. **I'm sure not all my facts are completely acurate but my point is, hopefully, made** I have no clue how easy/hard it would be to do this, but I think would add a lot.

This would/could do away with "sub-leagues" which, imo, would be very nice. That way each league is actually a league. It would no longer be "Major League Baseball" and then the International League and Eastern League.
