It's time-consuming, boring and it takes all the fun out of a forum. On top of that your friends will resent you the minute you try to enforce the written rules on them. Jerks beyond your wildest imagination will call you imaginative names in PM's and emails. About once a month someone will call you a Nazi.
It's not a fun gig.
