Last year in Oakland he was 0-2 and got absolutely rocked (5er in 4.2ip and 7er in 4.2ip), but was 2-0 against them at Safeco (3er in 7.1ip and 1er in 8ip). As I said before, Safeco really helps him out. He'll give up a lot of deep fly balls that would be homers elsewhere but die on the warning track at Safeco.
And Chavez owns the Mariners. It's not specific to any one pitcher. The Ms would be better off just putting him on base every time he comes up.
