Battist,

Here's what happened. I started a new league with fictional players and had a fantasy draft. While the draft was occurring you could see the value of contracts a player had. This obviously affected the way I drafted since I had an average market team. At the end of the fantasy draft, the game asked me if I wanted to adjust market size based on payroll and recommended that I do so. That's what I did. Then after the draft when I looked at market sizes I was surprised to see New York with a 'slightly above average' market. There were many other examples of this with other cities having their market size drastically changed.

I don't know if this means the computer drafts without regard to contract value as shown during the draft or not but I do know that I wouldn't want the market sizes to be permanently altered (yeah I know: I shouldn't have done what was 'recommended').

What I want to know is if in OOTP2006, the computer will still show players' contracts while drafting? If it does and then resizes markets to fit payrolls, what is the point of having players have contracts assigned before the draft? Seems like it would be better to have contract values assigned AFTER the draft.

I am admittedly confused.
