Fremont is fine and is potentially closer than possible sites in Oakland. San Jose is a bit too far and could alienate the Central Valley fans. Fremont would be a great fit, especially if they could place it within easy access of 680 and 880 (perhaps in between). Of course, if you are going for a secondary city in the Bay Area, why not Pleasanton?
