PITTSBURGH - The final night of action of the year in the UoLBA was a doozy In tonight's Main Event, Bill Bradburn wins an impressive 4 round TKO victory over an overmatched Bob McIntyre. Bradburn punished McIntyre mercilessly until referee Rudy Battle stopped the bout midway through round 4, throwing his arms around an exhausted McIntyre and sparing him further punishment. Amazingly, all judges had McIntyre ahead when the bout ended, one even had McIntyre ahead in round 4 despite the fact that Bradburn had him outpointed in the round 30-2 when Battle stopped the bloodbath. Incredible.

The undercard saved the night for fight fans, as an entertaining 10 round contest ended with an MD victory for Peter Maher over John Morrissey. Maher won a tight victory over a very tough opponent, with the final scorecards reading 95-94, 94-94 and 95-94 for Maher. The Irishman had Morrissey behind from the opening bell, finally dropping him to the canvas in round 8. But Morrissey climbed to his feet and returned the favor in round 9. Maher just barely got to his feet at the count of 9, to finish the round. Morrissey had Maher again in trouble in round 10, but Maher somehow kept his feet to preserve the victory.
