One suggestion I'll offer is join a couple of online leagues so you can see how it's done. How the commish's handle it. Plus I suggest requiring OOTP in you're league if you do start one and try and keep the teams to a minimum (IE: 16-24)
Get a good base and then later on maybe expand.
