November 1890 Results from Scammon

SCAMMON, KS - Joe Coburn turned the lights out on Jim Harvey tonight, putting the first blemish on Harvey's career in a 7 round KO. Coburn dominated the bout, winning every round and proving to be clearly the superior fighter. In an exciting undercard bout, unheralded boxer Bob McIntyre gave a boxing clinic to 10th ranked John Morrissey, beating him to the punch all night en route to a 10 round split decision upset. Despite the split decision, most fans saw the fight as clearly belonging to McIntyre.
