SCAMMON, KS - Tonight's fight card features two currently undefeated fighters, Chet Shandel against top 10 boxer Duncan McDonald in the Main Event, and 23-0 Peter Courtney as he squares off against Pete McCoy in an undercard bout.

McDonald started the action in tonight's Main Event with a flurry, winning the first 3 rounds from Shandel. Near the end of the third, Shandel's forehead was split by an accidental head butt, a cut that bled freely off and on throughout the bout. In the 10th, Shandel returned the favor, opening a cut over McDonald's left eye. Going into the 11th, most fans saw the fight as even. Unfortunately, the 11th was to come to an abrupt halt at the very outset of the round, as the first punch hurled by Duncan McDonald bounced off the forehead of Chet Shandel. The shot did not hurt Shandel, but it busted McDonald's hand, and he was unable to continue. A TKO victory for Shandel, who remains undefeated, and a heartbreaking setback for McDonald, who will be inactive for some time.

On the undercard, John Morrissey scored the quickest victory so far in UoLBA history with a knockout of Henry Higgins at 1:15 in the 1st. Peter Courtney survived a second round 8-count knockdown to drop Pete McCoy for the count in the 10th and preserve his perfect record.
