Did anyone here enjoy the halftime show? anyone at all?
Because I haven't heard one good thing about it.
1) The sound was ****. It was tinny, off, you could barely hear Mick for most fo the third song unless the camera had him to the right or left. Last yar's show with McCarthy was ten times better, and I hate this rehash of everything that's from the baby boomers generation being the only thing that won't scar us from nasty things (like nipples :roll: )
2) Holy **** what the hell happened to that band?! They look like they should be playing shuffleboard, not signing. Richards looked like he was pulling a MIlli Vanille with the guitar, Mick when he wasn't ****ing the lyrics up, look like he was straining to remember them. Also when dancing around, if you're going to pretend that your'e still twenty, at least ****ing work out! Watching your arm msucles wave around like overcooked noodles is not an attractive feature (and doesn't help the "holy **** your old!" thing)
3) WHY DO WE HAVE TO EDIT OUT ANYTHING THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE CONSIDERED OFFENSIVE?! In Start me Up, he's signing away and gets to "you make a deaf man.....". Do what Mick? We know your'e f'in old, but we didn't think that you were senile. Which is a lot better than the corporate schill youv'e become. Can someone tell me what is offensive about the words "come", or "balls"? Tht ahd to be the worst PC bastardization I've seen in years. What's next years act, The Big Bopper? Barney the Dinosaur? Seems that the major networks thin we have the maturity level of five year olds.
What's really sad is that today I watched the Rush show in Frankfurt, which is a band that I'm far form a fan of, a hockey game of Montreal and Philly, and the Super Bowl, and only the Super Bowl failed to entertain. That alone should say something right there, but it won't. Sad.
