Klaus retains title
I am going to list the before and after rankings now on the fight cards listed as (before/after) all rankings will be the WBA rankings unless it's a title fight for another organization. Also I will list my scorecard on the fights I watch in bold.
March 15, 1910
WBA Middleweight champ Frank Klaus (17-6-1) scored a KO8 over Stanley Ketchel (3/4) (25-6) for his second defense of the title.
The opening five rounds were pretty even. In the 6th round Ketchel started to take control of the fight. He won the 6th and the 7th in lopsided fashion. Klaus's right eye started to swell in the 7th.
In the 8th Klaus hurt Ketchel early and Ketchel never recovered finally slumping to the canvas under a barrage of punches.
I had it 68-66 Ketchel at the stoppage.
