I find it hard to believe that the Rep. Dominicana (Dominican Republic) is not ranked higher. The major reason why they don't do as well in international tournaments is because their country is picked about by the major leagues starting when the best kids are 13 and 14. Maybe I misread the study's purpose, but the Dominican Republic's output of major leaguers puts it way ahead of countries like South Korea, Japan, Mexico and others.
