What we here think of as the "schedule" is "fixtures" there, and what we'd call "standings" is "table" over there, just to name two examples.

So there is a legitimate debate here; the question is how much importance should be placed on the language differences.

When the discussion is about completely different words, it's valid in my mind. When it's the spelling of a word, it's much less so.
