SALT
http://www.ourfamiglia.com/SALT/index.aspx has openings for GMs. We're just finishing the 1972 season so new GMs would be able to draft and participate in free agency if they join in the next week. The following teams are available, each at different levels of competing:
Phillies - had the #1 pick last year and landed Mike Schmidt. They also have Willie Stargell, Don Sutton, and the #6 pick in the upcoming draft to build around.
Whitesox - Pitching poor but have some good prospects (Goose Gossage, Ken Singleton) and the #3 pick in the upcoming draft. Certainly a challenge.
Cubs - Just missed the playoffs in a week division. Have some very good pitching (4th best ERA) but lacking bats.
Angels - .500 type team with a good mix of vets (Roberto Clemente) and prospects (Bernie Carbo, Bill Buckner, Ben Ogilvie). Probably could go either way (i.e. compete or rebuild)
BlueJays - Just missed the playoffs in a tough division (won 90 games and lost in 1 game playoff). Primarily a veteran team that should compete for the next few years with likes of Tom Seaver and Paul Schaal.
