Then a guy with a short career but some decent opponents...
John Lyttle
5 wins / 1 loss / 0 draws / 2 KO
Hometown: Belfast, N.Ireland

BoxRec shows only 6 fights for Lyttle all in 1954. The first 5 were from January through April. He stopped Johnny Zedd(1-8-0,1 nobody to speak of) in 3rd round TKO, then won an 8 round decision over Hugh Ferns, and 8th round TKO over George Stern(18-10-0,9KO) a decent lefty from Scotland, and then won an 8 round decision over Wally Curtis. Less then two weeks after beating Curtis, in late April Lyttle then lost for the first time, an 8 round decision to Ron Harman.
Then Lyttle doesn't fight until November of that year when he wins another 8 round decision, this one against a Dennis Lockton(2-17-0,0). After that, nothing else on Lyttle. Except for the bookends Zedd and Lockton, Lyttle took on with good results 4 fairly decent opponents. You wonder why the sudden exit or is there more to his career to be unearthed?
