well before this gets out of hand lol

let me defend Cowboys here....i have known him for around 4-5 years (i think) and he has just seen a ton of people making sets of current players which is where he got the "100" number from as i would bet that there is less than 100, but i would bet there is close to 50 of them out there.

I will also defend cubby and atl because if they want to make a set.....go for it!! I recommend that everyone try it and see just how tough it is. People like Cubby and Toadfreak know that it takes a TON of work, and they didnt start from scratch.

I have OCD when it comes to my set and i feel a HUGE sense of accomplishment when i finished my first set from scratch, but as i have said, i spent so much time re-doing it based on the opinions of others and it was just WAY too much, being that i worked for almost 2 years on my set, and then people turn and bashed the hell out of it, so i went with the method i have been using for close to 2 years now, with damn good results if i do say so myself.

I choose to not do historical rosters tho as i feel that this particular area is best suited for Cowboys as i feel his work is awesome.

There was a fine gentleman named CBL that put out awesome work but has since "retired" in a way from the set making.

Cubby did give me credit the last time i remember him releasing a set, and he was the only one that gave me credit (that i know of), when it wasnt asked for or when there wasnt a user on the boards going to bat for me.

I will say this to ALL people that want to make a set.......

DONT BASE IT OFF OPINIONS OF THE USERS!!!! Im telling you, you will be adjusting ALLLLLLL day and night! I promise you that! You need to find a "formula" or "method" that works for you and go with that. No knock on any of the users opinions, but a perfect example of this would be a discussion i had in my thread about Betancourt or Pie.........Baseball America, ESPN, CBS sportsline and even the site i contribute to for fantasy baseball has him rated high, even tho my opinion differs, but luckily, i dont cover the Cubs ....Pie is gonna be nothing more than a Tom Goodwin type player, with a much better glove...He isnt going to give much power, even in Wrigley, hell he could play in Coors Field and ill bet he still doesnt hit 10 HRs...ill put a large sum of money on this also. I have a scout friend of mine that works for a NL Central club (im not allowed to give names tho) and he has bashed Pie and compares him to Alex "steroids doenst fix defense" Sanchez with less speed!!

Also, the HUGE Betancourt debate! This cat can field, ill say that much. He is NO WHERE near Ozzie Smith or even Pokey Reese defensively, but he will get better in Safeco. The guy CANT HIT! He will hit .280-.290, every year probably, mostly because of his speed, even tho he doesnt steal as much as he should. He reminds me alot of Christian Guzman, just better bat control. I know him personally and have talked (albeit in Spanish only) to him tons of times when he was with San Antonio, and i STILL say he would benefit from moving to 2b and leaving Guillen at SS, but this is just an opinion. But ill put money on it.

Look, the point of all this psycho babble #$%^$ is that you need to find something that works for you and stick with it or you will have NO life! I am married...with children so i dont have one, i drive a mini-van for crying out loud.

I am also more than willing, and have said this millions of times, to host sets on my site, however no one asks.
