I see the reasoning behind this, but each other player who is to become a minor league FA has this under his name:

Sample Minor League FA

Koffman

Also, in the player salary screen, it does not say he will become a minor league FA. This could be a bug/flaw with OOTP, or it could be a proper indicator of what will happen.

The minor league contract will not stick if you have minor league free agents on.

If you don't want him to become a free agent, I would put him on the 40-man just to make sure.
What I am hoping is that OOTP goes through its logic like this.

1. Check to see if said player has MLC
2. Check to see if said player has 6 or more pro years.
3. If both 1 and 2 are "yes", then said player becomes Minor League FA.

In Koffman's case, he only gets his MLC after the season rolls over, which would violate the first part of OOTP's checklist to become minor league FA. Or so I hope.

My 40-man is basically full, and to get him a slot, I would have to release someone. Also, I cannot test this because it's an online league. Finally, I have been able to work out a trade for Koffman (but it takes effect the following season) Therefore, it is absolutely necessary for him to stay on my roster.

Thanks for the help so far.
