Here is what I would like to see in regards to league format. I would like to make full leagues from several different countries. For example:
32 teams in the United States.
32 teams from Europe.
32 teams from Russia and North East Aisa
32 teams from the Orient
32 teams from the Carribain and Mexico
etc....
Each leauge would field a champion. So say we have a number of leagues equal to that of a power of 2, i.e. 4 leagues, 8, leagues, 16, leagues, each with 32 teams. There could be a playoff structure in each leauge, and then when a champion is decleared, we can start a "winners" playoff system. Does this make sense? I realize this is a lot of teams, but it is simply a hypothetical situation. 24 teams in a league? 16? It doesn't matter. What I am saying is that each leauge has its own playoffs, and then the champions in each leauge get seeded and fight for an overall champion.
So if there were 32 teams in each league, for example, we would have 3 rounds in each leauge. Then if there were 8 leagues, there would be 3 additional rounds to determine the big bad mother of all of the leauges put together. Kinda like having 8 MLB sized leagues around the world. The World Series winner would play someone in the big champion.
