Sooo...what's gunna happen here

End of the season coming up.

I have a guy who has 3yrs, 56 days of Major League Service time.

I have sent him to the minors, and was able to sign him to a Minor League Contract.

However, on his player page, it says that he is arbitration eligible with an estimate of 460k.

1. Am I correct to assume that, since he is in the minors, the MLC will take effect, and he will not be offered arbitration?

2. If the above is correct, do I need to place him on the 40-man roster to prevent him from becoming a Minor League FA? (since he has more than 6 years of pro service)

Here is his player page: http://ssbl.net/reports/p2956.html
