This is all awesome! I have a question, though.

Say I have a MLB league, and I'm managing the Cubs and Corey Patterson. His stats have been bad the last two years, but his talent rating is still high (he's 25, say). I have a winter league team that has a top notch hitting coach. How would I move Corey down there for the winter to improve on his hitting game without having to trade him? I don't think I want to maintain a winter league with a team associated with each team; I would suspect that the league would have only 8 teams.

Would this be possible, or am I stuck with having him languish in the minors until he develops, or a team wants to trade for him?
