I think just the value of seeing him play everday is worth something.

I do this all the time with LOOGYs in my own ST that I crudely constructed. I'll pick up four or five guys with similar ratings vs LHB and then I'll let them audition for the spot.

Maybe one guy has 7s across the board, while another guy is 9/3/9, another guy is 8/5/8, and another guy is 10/6/6. They're all decent, but who's the best? I could probably look at the numbers and decide, but I've already used the numbers to narrow it down, so why not let ST games decide?

I really think that ST is a great new feature, and a big part of it is NRI. And don't forget, if ST is a real part of the game, that means that you might wind up with some injuries. And so you might find yourself bringing on an NRI just because you need a body.

And maybe that guy is fresh because he worked out with your team while FAs have been sitting on their asses and are rusty.
