While I am not happy to lose a guy in that situation, I like the 'can you recover from a major loss to your team' thing that occurs when that happens.

My current team that I play game by game suffered 3 season ending injuries to players my 1st year and it caused me to make some trades to cover their spots. I ended up getting some good players out of the deal.

Speaking of injuries, I just traded away a great outfielder for a pretty good staring pitcher. In his first start he pitches two innings, just allowing a walk and suffers an injury. With my heart pounding a little fast, I was releived to see it was just a week injury. Which I hate, because it is too short to put him on the DL, which I love to do, so I can bring up one of those minors to spot start a game! At least he will just miss one, maybe 2 starts.
