With only a couple exceptions every GM in the league would give up their current RB if they could get Bush. I've read NFL GM's saying most any team would take Bush and reconfigure the team around him cuz he's that good. Houston is hardly in a position to pass him up because of Dominic Davis.
While I know 1,000 yards is not what it used to be, to say that a guy who has only done what he's done in college is better than a guy who has broken 1,000 yards in his first three seasons (ok, he's at 976 right now, but he'll pass that this coming week) behind a horrible offensive line - on a team that frequently is throwing the ball the entire second half - is just ridiculous. Reggie Bush is a phenomenal talent and might be great, but he's not a great NFL player. Domanick Davis is a very, very good NFL running back who has proven it with almost no blocking help. Reggie Bush is the best COLLEGE running back behind an offensive line that gives him 5 yards from the line of scrimmage before anybody can touch him. You're seriously calling him a Hall of Fame talent? Yeah, well, so was Desmond Howard.

I happen to think Bush will be an excellent NFL player, but to say that with a "couple exceptions" (who? LT and Alexander?) every NFL team would take Bush is also asinine. The guy might be better than other team's RBs but smart GMs know they'd be better off filling their holes than making what could amount to nothing more than a slight upgrade at RB.

bailey's explanation for the Texans taking Bush does make sense, but to say there's two teams who would keep their RB over Bush (when it comes to spending a #1 pick on it) doesn't make any sense.
