I have found a great FREE solution to this problem.

You load the program and set up a profile. I have two profiles, one for my document files and other important stuff and one for my sim league.
You can tell it to run the backup and a certain time, like 4am. It will just copy new files or files that have been changed. You can specify the destination folder, I have multiple drives, so that is the best way to do it, so if one drive dies, you are saved. You can also have it ftp, so you could back up to a server, or, use it to upload your league.
It has tons of options, it can compress, synch between folders, etc.
Take a look at it, and your crash headaches are gone with no effort, while you are sleeping.
