Jackson makes quick work of Burns

I am going to list the before and after rankings now on the fight cards listed as (before/after) all rankings will be the WBA rankings unless it's a title fight for another organization.

October 14, 1909

Peter Jackson (CH) (31-5-1) routed Jack Burns (F5/11) (15-6-1) with a TKO5 for his 6th defense of the IBF Heavyweight title).

Jackson dominated from the opening bell hurting Burns each round. Burns started carrying his hands low after the first. His left eye started to swell in the 2nd. He suffered a cut over his left eye in the 3rd. It was re-opened in the 4th and stopped because of the cut in the 5th.

On the undercard

MW - Joe Thomas (22/11) (13-3-3) SD10 Frank Craig (6/8) (25-13-2)
FW - Tommy Connolly (19/13) (11-6) UD10 Frank Zimpher (UR) (9-5) (zimpher at pre)
WW - Jack Willis (12/12) (11-8-1) UD10 Dixie Kid (17/16) (17-15-5)
HW - Mike Conley (UR) (9-3) KO3 Bill McKinnon (16/22) (11-6) (conley at pre)
WW - Willie Schaeffer (UR) (8-1) UD8 Unk Russell (UR) (6-2-1) (both at pre for this club fight)
