Hans Gunter Huber Rating 1
Germany Light Heavyweight 1953-62
7 wins / 36 losses / 4 draws / 5 KO

Birthplace: Freiburg, Germany

Rating by: Rocco Del Sesto

This guy kept showing up in the records of other fighters I'd been rating so I decided to do him. Huber and his glass jaw (stopped 21 times in 36 losses) was easy fodder for many of his opponents very early in thier careers looking to pick up easy wins.

After a 4th round KO ov a Werner Munch(0-9-0) to start his career, Huber then lost 8 straight including to Horst Niche, Antonio Crosia, Cesare Bagnoli, Marcel Limage, Heinz Sachs, Charles Colin, and Uwe Janssen. Huber finally picked up win number 2 with a 6th round KO of Lorenzo Rocci. Rocci then outpointed Huber in a rematch and the two fought a 3rd straight fight that ended in an 8 round draw. Then came 9 straight losses, including to Wim Snoek, Erwin Hack twice, Franco Festucci, Horst Niche, and Erich Schoppner.

Francois Kania then became Huber's 3rd victim by a 10th round KO in April 1957. Huber was KO'd in 3 in his next fight by Massimo Zanaboni making his boxing debute, then Huber won his 4th fight knocking out Ottavio Panunzi in the 5th round. Panunzi stopped Huber in a rematch in September 1957 and that was followed by losses to Gilbert Chapron, Tony Gruber and a Klaus Langhammer. Huber then beat a guy named Poldi Bauer(0-4-0) twice for wins 5 and 6. His next fight in November 1958 he lost a 4 round decision to Karl Mildenberger who was taking on Huber for his second opponent.

After a draw to a Wenzel Bociek, Huber lost to Plinio Scarabellin and Bociek. He then fought a 4 round draw and won a 3rd round KO against a couple of guys who'd never fought before. That was followed by losses to Nico Schoenmaker and Germinal Ballarin, a draw with an H Zollner who had no record and then Huber finished out his career with 8 straight losses. The losses incluced to Wladislas Kopec, Ottavio Panunzi, Guerrino Scattolin and Piero Tomasoni(4-0 at the time).
