The SbSL has just finnished it's innaugural season with the Angels sweeping the Nationals for the Title. We will be beginning our offseason this weekend. The Teams that are open are the Pirates and Phillies. The Pirates are a young team with butt loads of pitching prospects. This would be their second General manager. The first was very dedicated and active early one, then lately as the season progressed he's been less and less active. Seems as if the rebuilding process may not have been what he thought it would be. Then there's the Phils, Their initial GM was one of the league's most active, I absolutly hated to lose him, but he needed to dedicate more time to school. The Replacement GM was brought in and then just seemed to lose interest while the end of the regular season and post season played out. This is as much my mistake as his, I should have waited until the offseason to replace the initial GM possibly. THe Phils made a few trades. Getting Jason Lane from the Astros for Endy Chavez. They also picked up a bunch of prospects from the Astros and the Cardinals, with the only big names players they gave up were Jim Thome and Yoel Hernandez. The League will give a window to Both New Gm's allowing them the chance to sign extensions before advancing to the offseason as well.
